As a wedding stationery designer, at Copper Cactus Design, and a forever fan of Taylor Swift, I have been daydreaming about what it would be like to design the wedding invitations for the world’s newest engaged couple. While the details of a potential Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce wedding remain a mystery, the thought of designing their wedding invitations is a dream come true for a creative like me.
A note from the author: Join me as I share my creative vision for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding invitations. Please note, this blog post and the invitation suite featured are purely fictional. All details are a creative fabrication by Copper Cactus Design for an inspirational project. Any resemblance to future wedding details is a complete coincidence.
If I were lucky enough to get the call from Taylor and Travis and if they gave me full creative freedom, I would pull inspiration from their engagement photos- an enchanted, secret garden, and woodsy aesthetic. The vibe I would want to create for their guests is one of being welcomed to the biggest event in the world, yet feeling like it’s taking place in the quietest, most private corner neck of the woods with whispers of elegance to come.
I would design a wedding invitation suite that captures the feeling of an enchanting forest, setting the tone for their big day. The color palette would be inspired by a secret garden with large, shady trees and soft florals—think deep blue-green, muted blush, and a touch of antique gold.
Every detail matters, so first I would design a custom envelope to set the tone. It would feature a stunning landscape of wildflowers, ferns, and towering trees, hinting at the natural beauty of their wedding location. This custom envelope would have a uniquely scalloped back flap adorned with an antique gold wax seal. This touch of sophisticated nostalgia would make guests feel as though they were about to receive a secret message.
Inside the envelope, a collection of invitation and enclosure cards would be wrapped in a delicate satin lavender ribbon. The main invitation, printed on luxurious handmade paper with deckled edges, giving a romantic vintage vibe. The design would feature a delicate embossed illustration of winding vines and subtle wildflowers in an oval shape framing the text. The lettering would be a beautiful mix of elegant script and a clean, classic serif font.
For the RSVP card, I would select a neutral ivory handmade paper with letterpress text and lines for guests to provide their responses and names. I would be sure to include the line “I promise to get up and dance if ____ song is played.”
Finally, I would design a small details card with information about the wedding day. This card would also be decorated with subtle hints of vines and leaves to tie everything together and finished with gorgeous gold foil text.
Designing Taylor Swift’s and Travis Kelce’s wedding invitations would be a career highlight, but more than that, it would be a true labor of love. Every detail would be thoughtfully considered to create a sense of wonder and enchantment, welcoming guests into a secret world where two souls unite. And just like Taylor’s songs, the invitations would tell a beautiful story—one of love, elegance, and a quiet moment in the woods.
