Mountain Wedding Invitations: Capturing the Essence of West Virginia

As a wedding invitation designer, I love getting to know couples and their vision during design sessions. This helps me create truly unique stationery that will wow your guests. 

Renee and Giuseppe, planning their Fall wedding from Virginia, sought invitations that perfectly captured the spirit of their West Virginia venue:  Soaring Eagle Lodge. Their vision for a formal yet rustic celebration, brimming with autumnal colors like teal, neutral tones, cranberry, and copper, presented a unique challenge that I was up for.

To guide their design decisions, I curated a selection of invitation samples and color swatches, which I mailed to the couple for their virtual design session. Renee emphasized the importance of showcasing the lodge's stunning natural surroundings, envisioning woodland creatures like snowshoe hares and eagles as subtle nods to their chosen location.

To bring this vision to life, we incorporated a die-cut details card showcasing the shape of West Virginia, a unique touch that celebrated the couple's wedding state. We also featured a custom watercolor illustration of the iconic "Forever Wild" wooden sign found on the lodge's property, adding a personal touch. The invitation card itself depicted rolling hills, majestic pine trees, and a subtle soaring eagle detail, evoking the breathtaking scenery that awaited their guests.

Renee and Giuseppe's wedding day was a stunning reflection of their invitations – a celebration filled with autumnal hues, rustic elegance, and a touch of woodland magic, perfectly capturing the essence of their mountaintop nuptials.
